Oklahoma City has solid RV trips in almost every direction. Just south in Norman, Lake Thunderbird State Park offers RV campsites, including some with full hookups, plus marinas, boat ramps, and swim beaches. About a 90-minute drive southwest, the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge protects roughly 60,000 acres of mixed-grass prairie, ancient granite peaks, and lakes, home to bison, longhorn cattle, and Rocky Mountain elk. Back in the city, Bricktown's canal, the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, and stretches of Route 66 give renters plenty to do before or after a night at camp.
Parked in the Oklahoma City metro, an RV on consignment earns rental income while its owner skips the rental work. A Fleet Manager handles listing and booking, renter questions, the pickup walkthrough and return check, cleaning, coordinating any repairs and staying in touch with guests. The city is a natural launch point: Interstates 35, 40 and 44 meet here, Route 66 passes through the metro, Lake Thunderbird State Park is just south in Norman, and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is about 90 minutes southwest. Renters book summer lake weekends, family road trips, Route 66 drives and stays during the Oklahoma State Fair. Owners get real income potential, professional rental support, regular cleanings and inspections instead of months parked through hot summers, fewer hours on renter calls, and Lake Thunderbird weekends of their own whenever they set aside dates. When you aren't using it for lake trips or holiday drives, the RV can help cover insurance, loan payments and storage.

What an RV earns in Oklahoma City depends on what kind of rig it is, where it's kept in the metro, the season, its condition, how much of the calendar is open and local demand. Summer lake season around Lake Thunderbird and the State Fair's run in September are usually the highest earning stretches. As a general estimate, many owners in our program earn around $645 to $1,425 per month. Late-model motorhomes and travel trailers, plus family-friendly layouts with bunks, perform best. Get a personalized estimate from our RV rental income calculator.
Around Oklahoma City, the biggest earners are Class C motorhomes and bunkhouse trailers. Fifth wheels also book for lake weekends, with Class A coaches for State Fair stays and camper vans for shorter trips. Visitors who fly in and drive to the Wichita Mountains or along Route 66 want an easy-to-handle rig that sleeps a family. Some renters also continue north to Wichita.
Oklahoma City metro owners usually pay $80 to $180 per month to store an RV ($2.75 to $6 per foot each month). Longer rigs, different RV types and amenities like gates, power or dump stations push the price up, and covered or indoor spaces cost more than outdoor ones. Central Oklahoma hail, wind and summer heat make cover a smart way to protect roofs and awnings, and both kinds are easy to find around the metro and south toward Norman.
Our territory managers work with professional on-site maintenance teams to make sure your RV is meticulously maintained throughout the year. Your RV will benefit form ongoing attention and basic maintenance like tire checks before and after each rental, roof and slide out checks once a month, ongoing appliance testing, routine oil changes, and more. We want your RV in top shape all the time so that it can continue to perform well and generate revenue. As an RV owner in our program, there are 3 main types of maintenance costs to consider:
1) Routine maintenance: Oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Owners are billed periodically for these expenses at discounted rates, and the deduction can often come directly from the rental profits in a given month.
2) Rental Damages: Any damage to an RV that happens on a rental will be covered fully by the renter's security deposit and/or the commercial insurance coverage. Our managers deal with all claims and repairs at no cost to the RV owner - renters pay the deductible and your personal insurance is not involved.
3) Systemic maintenance: Systemic issues are the responsibility of the RV owner. A/C failure, water pump failure, fridge or hot water tank failure, etc. These are costs that arise from no fault of the renter. Warranty protection plans usually cover these systemic repairs, and our managers work with the warranty company and RV techs to get these fixed. Our managers will work with you to get your RV back in top shape as quickly and professionally as possible.
May through October brings the steadiest bookings in Oklahoma City, with lake weekends at Lake Thunderbird drawing renters from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Spring storms or a crowded event week can nudge those bookings around. Each September the Oklahoma State Fair brings a spike in nearby stays, and October's cooler weather suits trips to see the Wichita Mountains bison herd.
Owners in Oklahoma City hand the listing, rentals, cleaning and maintenance to a Fleet Manager chosen by RV Management USA, who screens each renter and handles pickup and return. Demand comes from travelers flying into Will Rogers World Airport and road trippers on I-35, I-40 and I-44 who would rather rent a camper than haul one.
