Every June, Omaha becomes a gathering place for college baseball, and fans from across the country roll in for the College World Series. Plenty of them want a place to stay near the ballpark, and an RV is one of the easiest ways to do it. The rest of the summer brings families heading to state park lakes along the Platte River, plus road trippers crossing the country on I-80. That mix gives an RV in the Omaha area real earning potential. Our RV rental management program puts a Fleet Manager on the listing, renter screening, pickups, returns, and cleaning between trips, so you can earn monthly income without the work. Whenever you want the RV for yourself, those dates stay off the rental calendar.

One of the most popular camping spots near Omaha sits about halfway to Lincoln. Near Ashland, Eugene T. Mahoney State Park spreads across roughly 673 acres above the Platte River, with 148 campsites in two modern campgrounds, a 70-foot observation tower with views across the river valley, and an aquatic center with water slides and a wave pool. Families can also book cabins or rooms at the park lodge. Back in the city, the cobblestone streets of the Old Market are lined with shops and restaurants, and the riverfront parks along the Missouri River make an easy evening stop. With I-80 and I-29 meeting nearby, renters can head out to the Sandhills, the Black Hills, or Iowa's Loess Hills.
Through consignment, Omaha-area owners earn from their RV while a Fleet Manager takes care of renting it. Listing, renter questions, booking, check-in, return, cleaning, maintenance coordination, and renter communication are all on the Fleet Manager, and each trip ends with an inspection so wear gets caught early. Demand here has several sources. The College World Series fills Charles Schwab Field every June, Eugene T. Mahoney State Park draws families to the Platte River, the Old Market and Missouri River parks pull visitors downtown, and I-80 and I-29 bring cross-country travelers headed for the Sandhills and Black Hills. Renters book event stays near the ballpark, family camping weekends, fall tailgates, and long summer road trips. That gives owners income potential, professional rental help, regular cleaning and inspections, less time tied up with renters, and first claim on the calendar for their own trips. A motorhome booked for baseball week does far more for you than one parked in west Omaha all summer.
Yes, you can legally rent out an RV in Omaha when its title is clean, its Nebraska registration is current, and it is insured for paid rentals. Rental trips are protected under a commercial rental policy or an approved rental platform. Applicable taxes, local rules, HOA covenants, and storage yard rules all apply, and newer neighborhoods in west Omaha and Elkhorn often restrict keeping an RV in the driveway. We help you through the setup at RV Management USA, and our RV Management 101 page has more.
RV income around Omaha swings with the type of rig, its storage spot, the time of year, condition, availability, and event demand. College World Series week in June and busy summer weekends at Platte River state parks are usually the top earners. As a general estimate, an actively renting RV here brings roughly $690 to $2,860 per month. Motorhomes booked for event stays, late-model rigs, bunkhouse trailers, and units close to the ballpark and I-80 do best. Try our RV rental income calculator for an estimate.
Class A and Class C motorhomes lead Omaha earnings, especially during College World Series week, because event renters want a rig to live in near the stadium for a few days. Bunkhouse travel trailers and camper vans book steadily too, trailers for Mahoney State Park weekends and vans for trips west on I-80. Many renters cross from Council Bluffs and the rest of Iowa, or plan trips to Des Moines and Sioux Falls.
For a typical 30 foot RV, Omaha storage runs about $90 to $225 a month ($3 to $7.50 per foot per month). Longer RVs, larger types and amenities like security and access hours raise the rate, and a covered or enclosed spot costs more than outdoor parking. Indoor and outdoor options cluster in west Omaha near I-80, with others across the river toward Council Bluffs. Cover helps with heavy snow and summer hail.
Our territory managers work with professional on-site maintenance teams to make sure your RV is meticulously maintained throughout the year. Your RV will benefit form ongoing attention and basic maintenance like tire checks before and after each rental, roof and slide out checks once a month, ongoing appliance testing, routine oil changes, and more. We want your RV in top shape all the time so that it can continue to perform well and generate revenue. As an RV owner in our program, there are 3 main types of maintenance costs to consider:
1) Routine maintenance: Oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Owners are billed periodically for these expenses at discounted rates, and the deduction can often come directly from the rental profits in a given month.
2) Rental Damages: Any damage to an RV that happens on a rental will be covered fully by the renter's security deposit and/or the commercial insurance coverage. Our managers deal with all claims and repairs at no cost to the RV owner - renters pay the deductible and your personal insurance is not involved.
3) Systemic maintenance: Systemic issues are the responsibility of the RV owner. A/C failure, water pump failure, fridge or hot water tank failure, etc. These are costs that arise from no fault of the renter. Warranty protection plans usually cover these systemic repairs, and our managers work with the warranty company and RV techs to get these fixed. Our managers will work with you to get your RV back in top shape as quickly and professionally as possible.
Omaha's rental season centers on June through August, with June the peak month when the College World Series fills Charles Schwab Field. Demand can move with weather and local events. July and August stay busy with state park camping and Black Hills road trips, and fall brings steady weekends from football tailgaters and color drives along the Missouri River. Winter is slowest.
RV Management USA puts each RV it accepts in Omaha in the hands of a Fleet Manager who books renters, lists the RV, and handles cleaning and upkeep. Demand comes from College World Series fans who want to stay near the ballpark, plus road trippers on I-80 and I-29. Renters often head north toward Sioux Falls or south toward Kansas City.
