Summer in Virginia Beach brings a wave of visitors from Richmond, Northern Virginia, and every base in Hampton Roads, and campground sites near the oceanfront and the bay book up early. Many of those families would rather tow or drive a ready RV than buy one for a single week at the shore. If you own a rig that spends most of the year parked, the RV rental management program from RV Management USA puts it in front of them. Your Fleet Manager prices and lists it, verifies renters, takes care of delivery or pickup, and cleans the RV between trips, so it produces steady income in beach season and you still claim any weekend you want for yourself.

Virginia Beach pairs a busy oceanfront with a surprising amount of wild coast. At the north end, First Landing State Park, Virginia's most visited state park, covers 2,888 acres with 1.5 miles of Chesapeake Bay beach, about 20 miles of trails, and a campground with electric hookups near the spot where the Jamestown colonists first landed in 1607. Far to the south, False Cape State Park protects nearly 6 miles of Atlantic beach that can only be reached on foot, by bike, or by boat through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Between them sit the Boardwalk, the Virginia Aquarium, and the Cape Henry Lighthouse.
Owners in Virginia Beach can use a consignment program to earn from their RV without taking on the job of renting it. Our local Fleet Manager, Outer Banks RV Rentals, handles the listing, renter questions, reservations, delivery or pickup, check-in and return, cleaning, maintenance coordination, and communication while the RV is out. The location sells itself to renters. First Landing State Park offers bay beach camping, the oceanfront Boardwalk draws summer crowds, Back Bay and False Cape protect a quieter stretch of coast, and the Outer Banks are a short drive south. Renters book beach vacations, weekend getaways, festival trips, and visits with family stationed at Naval Air Station Oceana or Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Fort Story. The main gains for owners are income potential, professional support, cleaning and inspection after each rental, less time spent on renters, and personal use whenever you choose. Every booked beach week is one less week the rig spends baking on a Princess Anne Road storage lot.
Yes, coastal Virginia owners can rent out an RV in Virginia Beach when it holds a Virginia title free of salvage branding, current registration, a valid state safety inspection where one is required, and insurance that extends to renters. Each trip is protected through an approved rental platform or commercial rental policy. Plan for applicable state and local taxes on rental income, and confirm what city ordinances, neighborhood associations, and your storage yard allow. The RV Management USA team guides you through these steps, and you can learn more in RV Management 101.
Earnings in Virginia Beach rise and fall with the RV's type, location, season, condition, availability, and demand along the coast. Summer weeks near First Landing and the oceanfront, plus fall festival weekends, bring the most meaningful income. As a general estimate, many owners earn around $645 to $1,900 per month. Class C and Class A motorhomes, newer units, bunkhouse trailers that sleep a whole family, and rigs that can be delivered to bay or beach campgrounds tend to do best. Model your own rig with our RV rental income calculator.
Along the Virginia Beach oceanfront, bunkhouse trailers and Class C motorhomes usually lead in earnings. Behind them, Class A coaches and camper vans book steadily too. A trailer can be parked at a First Landing or oceanfront campground for a full beach week, and a Class C makes the drive down to the Outer Banks easy for families who want to see both shores.
In Virginia Beach, listed starting prices for RV storage run about $39 to $64 per month on SpareFoot and Neighbor. A longer rig, a larger RV class, or extras like gated entry and power push the price up, and a roof over the space costs more than an open lot, which can be worth it in coastal sun and salt air. Both choices exist across Virginia Beach and nearby Chesapeake.
Our territory managers work with professional on-site maintenance teams to make sure your RV is meticulously maintained throughout the year. Your RV will benefit form ongoing attention and basic maintenance like tire checks before and after each rental, roof and slide out checks once a month, ongoing appliance testing, routine oil changes, and more. We want your RV in top shape all the time so that it can continue to perform well and generate revenue. As an RV owner in our program, there are 3 main types of maintenance costs to consider:
1) Routine maintenance: Oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Owners are billed periodically for these expenses at discounted rates, and the deduction can often come directly from the rental profits in a given month.
2) Rental Damages: Any damage to an RV that happens on a rental will be covered fully by the renter's security deposit and/or the commercial insurance coverage. Our managers deal with all claims and repairs at no cost to the RV owner - renters pay the deductible and your personal insurance is not involved.
3) Systemic maintenance: Systemic issues are the responsibility of the RV owner. A/C failure, water pump failure, fridge or hot water tank failure, etc. These are costs that arise from no fault of the renter. Warranty protection plans usually cover these systemic repairs, and our managers work with the warranty company and RV techs to get these fixed. Our managers will work with you to get your RV back in top shape as quickly and professionally as possible.
Beach season drives Virginia Beach bookings from about Memorial Day through September, with spring and October shoulder weeks close behind. Coastal weather, including summer storms, and local events can move bookings. The Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend fills the oceanfront in late September, and July and August are the busiest stretch at First Landing. Winter is quiet.
Owners here work with Outer Banks RV Rentals, the local Fleet Manager RV Management USA has serving Virginia Beach, which looks after cleaning, upkeep, and rentals and delivers to Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks. Hampton Roads residents, military families, and visitors flying into Norfolk International keep beach-season demand high. Owners elsewhere in the region can see our Roanoke and North Carolina pages.
